As our regional economy emerges from the pandemic, there will be new challenges and opportunities to address. It will take years to gain back what we lost. The nature of work and business will change with the larger presence of telework and possibility of on-shoring and near shoring. Workforce development will need to adapt to serve displaced and younger workers. Now more than ever, it is critical that work together to develop a cohesive and coordinated strategy for regional long-term recovery. A unified plan focused on building an inclusive economy will escalate our regional recovery and help us rebuild a better, more equitable and more resilient economy.
